A “feast” is a huge, delicious meal with Food that is served for a celebration. Having a feast is to entertain with sumptuous provisions; to treat at the table magnificently; as, he was feasted by the King. To delight; to pamper; to gratify luxuriously; as, to feast the soul.

A ceremony of feasting is done with joy and thanksgiving on stated days, in commemoration of some great event, or in honor of some distinguished personage; an anniversary, periodical or stated celebration of some event; a festival; as on the Feast of the Passover, the Feast of Pentecost, and the Feast of Tabernacles among the Israelites. A Spiritual “Feast” is a huge, delicious soul-filling meal with Spiritual “Food” and “Fish” which includes the Knowledge of Truth and God’s Holy Words.

God wants us to attend His Feast for the Wedding of His Son Jesus with the Bride of Christ. But, to get in the door we must first put on the proper attire. We must put on our “Garment” which is the Knowledge of Truth which are God’s Holy Words and Ways.  See the Parable of the Wedding Feast.

The “Parable of the Wedding Feast” (see Matthew 22:1-14)
22 And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said: 2 “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, 3 and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. 4 Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.” ’ 5 But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. 6 And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. 7 But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8 Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. 9 Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.’ 10 So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests.

11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. 12 So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. 13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.”

Do NOT get caught WITHOUT the proper Garment for the Big Feast!!!

Notice the man was “Speechless” because he did not know the Pure Language of the Kingdom of Heaven. He had NOT put on his “Garment” which is the Knowledge of Truth which are God’s Holy Words and Ways.

Leviticus 23 describes the Sabbath day and the 7 Feasts of the Lord:

  1. Passover
  2. Unleavened Bread
  3. Firstfruits
  4. Pentecost
  5. the Feast of Trumpets
  6. Day of Atonement (aka “Yom Kippur”)
  7. Feast of Tabernacles

These are not the Feasts only for the Jews.

These are the Feasts of the Lord and they are for ALL God’s people!

Jesus (“Yeshua”) observed the Feast Days, and so did Joseph, Mary, the disciples and Paul. They’re still doing so in Heaven! Each of these Feast Days has a lesson included with them, so the Lord said that they are to be “a statute forever throughout your generations” (Leviticus 23:14,21, 31, 41; Exodus 12:14,17). So, if we truly Follow Jesus… we observe the Feast Days too.  So, have a Fish Feast and Celebrate! 🙂
