What is meant by “seeking” the Lord?
“How do you seek the Lord?”
The answer to these questions may be found in the Scriptures.
For example, in Matthew 6:33 it says this:
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. (Matthew 6:33)
Another verse related to this is found in Hebrews 11:6:
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)
Did you see that?
It says that without “Faith” it is impossible to please Him. How do you get real “Faith”. According to Romans 10:17 “Faith” comes by hearing the Word of God. Here’s the verse:
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)
While seeking the Lord and the Kingdom of Heaven, God has made ample provision for you to find Him.
Who is the “Word of God”? It’s Jesus! (See Revelation 19:13)
Who sent Jesus and why was He sent?
In Deuteronomy 18:18-19 God told Moses that He would send a “Prophet” (That prophet is Jesus) to reveal God’s Holy Words. Notice that it says we are ALL required to hear these Holy Words. These Words are the Keys to the Kingdom… God’s Kingdom of Heaven! 🙂 Here are the verses:
18 I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. 19 And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him. (Deuteronomy 18:18-19)
Jesus has the Words of Eternal Life!!! See John 6:68:
Simon Peter said to Jesus: “You have the words of eternal life.” (John 6:68)
Plus, we are teach and do the ways of His Holy Words.
Notice in Matthew 4:19 it says we are to be “Fishers of Men” (teach men about the “Fish” which are the Words of God)… AND in James 2:26 he said that “Faith” (hearing the Word of God) is DEAD without works. We are to do “Good Works” for others. Here are those two verses:
Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19)
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. (James 2:26)
So, to establish a personal connection with Jesus Christ (who is the Word of God) you must invite Him into your heart as your personal Savior and learn, teach and do the ways of His Holy Words. We help others and He helps us!
Action Steps:
1) Pray and Ask for Him to put the Holy Spirit in you. You can recite Proverbs 1:23 and John 14:15-17 while you do this. Here are the verses:
Proverbs 1:23
Turn at my rebuke;
Surely I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you.
John 14:15-17
“If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
2) Learn, Teach and Do the Ways of God’s Holy Words to bring forth the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. These Words are “Supernatural” and Powerful because they have greater promises, blessings and lessons within them.

For example, in these “End Times” we can Ask the Lord to overcome the “Waters” (people and nations who do EVIL) and overcome this raging sea which is the “Flood of the Dragon” (Revelation 12:16) with His thick clouds. Here are the 2 verses for this:
Job 26:8
He binds up the water in His thick clouds, Yet the clouds are not broken under it.
Revelation 17:15
15 Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.
Go be a “Jehu” and eliminate Jezebel!
seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul (Deuteronomy 4:29)
