2 Examples of the Ways of the Lord’s Holy Words and Spirits

The Bible contains stories and parables that illustrate the Ways of His Words and 7 Spirits (which are listed in Isaiah 11:2) IN ACTION.

Here are 2 quick examples:

Example 1:

Elijah and the Resurrection of the Widow’s Son (1st Kings 17:17-24)

Why did Elijah do what he did 3 times during the resurrection of the widow’s son in 1st Kings 17:17-24? It has to do with the 3rd  Spirit and what it does.

Example 2:

His Word: “Bread” and why Jesus “Broke Bread” with people

Why did Jesus break bread with people? Because it’s symbolic of the “Bread from Heaven” (John 6:22-40) which is instruction from God in Heaven. Doing the “Way” of His Holy Word “Bread” by breaking bread with others enables the Holy Spirit to give instruction to the people and help teach them. Jesus and the Holy Spirit teaches better than any man can. The “Greater Promise” in the Word “Bread” is the Holy Spirit giving us instruction. God sees ALL and breaking bread is a way we can communicate with Him that we want instruction from Him.

The Lord wants us to understand and DO the Ways of His Holy Words and Spirits. Jesus is our one true Shepherd and He wants us all to pray to Him and ASK Him to pour out His Spirit upon us and He will teach us His Holy Words (See Proverbs 1:23).

Proverbs 1:23 (NKJV)
23 Turn at my rebuke;
Surely I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you.

Isaiah 11:2 – The 7 Spirits
The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him,
The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The Spirit of counsel and might,
The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.

1) The Spirit of the Lord
2) The Spirit of Wisdom
3) The Spirit of Understanding
4) The Spirit of Counsel
5) The Spirit of Might
6) The Spirit of Knowledge
7) The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord

God sent Jesus to offer us salvation. Plus, He sent Jesus to bear witness to the Words of God (Deuteronomy 18:18-19) and testify of them (John 18:37). The “Good News” (aka “Gospel”) is that Jesus is the Word of God, His Holy Words contain Greater Promises (“Supernatural”) and He wants us to learn and do the Ways of them.

God sent Jesus to Earth to Bear Witness to God’s Words:

Deuteronomy 18:18-19
18 I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. 19 And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him. (God is speaking to Moses here about the Prophet who is Jesus.)

Jesus Testifies of His Holy Words:

John 18:37
37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”
Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”

His word is Truth (John 17:17 & Psalm 119:160) and we are to get Sanctified by His Truth (His Holy Words).

John 17:17-19

17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.

Psalm 119:160

160 The entirety of Your word is truth,
And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.

Please spread the Good News.  🙂

His Word: Bread

bread-from-heaven

Read the “Bread from Heaven” verses in John 6:22-59 and you will see bread is much more than food for your stomach. Bread is symbolic of instruction from God in Heaven.

In John 6:27 Jesus says “Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life” This is because:

He wants us to know His Words so we can follow His voice.

Why did Jesus “Break Bread” with others?

Bread is a simple word, but it’s also very powerful. Breaking bread and eating it releases the Holy Spirit to draw people to seek instruction from God. This is why Jesus broke bread.

When you Gather with your assembly of people, it is a wise idea to break bread before you start studying so the Holy Spirit will guide you while learning the Word of God.
