God sent Jesus Christ to the world so we would have the way to Eternal Life. (John 14:6)
Plus, God sent Jesus to Earth to Bear Witness to the Holy Words of God. This is revealed in Deuteronomy 18:18-19 and testified to in John 18:37
Deuteronomy 18:18-19
18 I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. 19 And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him.
John 18:37
37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”
Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”
Then Pilate asked Jesus “What is Truth?” His Words are Truth (Psalm 119:160 & John 17:17-19)
Jesus taught His Disciples His Holy Words.
Here is a chronological account of how it happened:
1) Fishers of Men
In the beginning of the first 2 books of the Gospel (“Good News”), Jesus tells them that He’ll make them “Fishers of Men” (See Matthew 4:19 & Mark 1:17).

19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

17 Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”
2) Miracles done by Jesus
Then throughout the 4 books of the Gospel, Jesus shows the miracles that are His Good Works done by the Way of His Holy Words and the Holy Spirit. God made ALL Creation with His Words (Genesis 1) and Jesus IS the “Word of God” (Revelation 19:13). Jesus gave us the Hope of receiving Eternal Life if we follow Him (John 14:6). The Miracles was Jesus doing the Ways of His Holy Words that God sent Him to earth to do (Deuteronomy 18:18-19). Before going to the Cross, Jesus testified to Pilate of His Words in John 18:37.

What is “Truth”? Truth is His Word! See Psalm 119:160 & John 17:17 below:

17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
3) Jesus gives them the Holy Spirit
Then, near the end of the Gospel books – after the Cross – Jesus blew His Spirit upon them (see John 20:22). (NOTICE: Ask the Lord to pour out Holy Spirit on you and teach you His Holy Words by praying to Him. See Proverbs 1:23 and John 14:15-17)

22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
4) Jesus reveals His Holy Words to them
Then in Luke 24:44-45 He says “these are the Words I spoke to you” and He opened their understanding and clarified His Words to them so they could comprehend the Scriptures.

44 Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” 45 And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.
5) Miraculous Catch of 153 Great Fish (Symbolic of 153 Holy Words)
Then, in John 21:11 He revealed His “Way” to the Disciples – with the “Miraculous Catch” of 153 Great Fish (KJV) which is symbolic of His 153 Holy Words. Plus, Jesus told Simon 3 times to “Feed His Lambs/Sheep”. When Jesus says something 2 times, we are to take notice, listen and do it. In John 21 He says this 3 times! This is Jesus showing them that there are 153 Holy Words within the Bible that we are to learn and teach others.
When you know His Holy Words, it opens up much more knowledge that is woven throughout the Scriptures. Here are 3 examples of His Holy Words:
Field = The World. Jesus Himself tells us in Matthew 13:38 that “Field” is symbolic of the “world”.
Bread = Instruction of His Words from God. Read John 6 to see this bread is not just bread for your stomach, it is instruction from God in Heaven. Breaking bread enables the Holy Spirit to cause the people to desire the instruction of His Words. That is why Jesus broke bread with others. It makes people want to know more about His Holy Words.
Oil = Knowledge of Truth from God. His Truth is His Words (Psalm 119:130) Fill your lamp with OIL (Knowledge of His Words) – the Bridegroom is coming! The “Bridegroom” is Jesus and He is the “Word of God” (Revelation 19:13). He wants us all to know His 153 Holy Words (John 12:48).
Conclusion:
* God said He will send a “Prophet” (Jesus) to earth to speak the words of God. (Deuteronomy 18:18-19)

* Then later in John 21 Jesus says to “Feed His Lambs“. Feed them what? The Good News of Salvation AND His 153 Holy Words. That is how you become a “Fisher of Men” – by teaching others Salvation through Jesus Christ and His 153 Holy Words.
When you learn His Holy Words, it opens up much more knowledge that is in the Scriptures. His Words give Light and understanding to the simple (Psalm 119:130). His 153 Holy Words open understanding to comprehend more Wisdom from the Scriptures (Luke 24:44-45).
The Whole Bible IS the Word of God. Plus, it testifies to and contains stories and parables of His 153 Holy Words being used for “Good Works”.
The Bible is the Holy Spirit inspired and written “Word of God”. Plus, it testifies to the 153 Holy Words of God and contains parables and stories about these Holy Words used for Good Works. People miss or ignore the key message of the Bible that God made Holy Words with Greater Promises.
Words with “Greater Promises”? What do you mean?
Yes, for example when you break bread it does make the Holy Spirit pull on you (and those who break bread with you) to desire instruction of His Holy Words. Try it for a few days and see it work for you.
So, the Lord Jesus did give us the Way for Salvation and Eternal Life (John 14:6). Plus, He showed us His Way for mankind to bring forth His Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven (His 153 Holy Words). Salvation through Jesus and His gift of giving us His 153 Holy Words is the whole story of the “Good News” of Jesus! This is what He means by being a “Fisher of Men” – It means to tell others to Follow Jesus’ “Way” and also use His Holy Words to do Good Works for others (instead of taking advantage of each other in the way the world works now).
We are to have “eyes to see” and “ears to hear” so we can “rightly divide” (discern &comprehend) His 153 Words of Truth. There is “Hidden Treasure” in the Bible (153 Holy Words) that we are to search for, “dig out” and teach His people. His Words are worth more than gold.
2 Timothy 2:15
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Why do we miss the most important message of the Bible?
Because the Words have been closed up and sealed until the Time of the End (“End Times”). (See Daniel 12:4 and Daniel 9-10)

4 “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

9 And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 10 Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to be IN you (John 14-15-17) and He will teach you His Holy Words (Proverbs 1:23).
